Google revealed in its fourth-quarter 2025 earnings report that its AI assistant, Gemini, now attracts more than 750 million monthly active users. The milestone highlights how quickly Gemini has gained traction with consumers, establishing itself as a major force in the rapidly evolving AI landscape.
In the previous quarter, Google disclosed that Gemini had reached 650 million monthly active users, underscoring how quickly its audience is expanding. By comparison, Meta AI has reported close to 500 million monthly users. Despite this momentum, Gemini remains behind its largest competitor, ChatGPT, which is estimated to have approximately 810 million monthly active users toward the end of 2025.
The newly disclosed user figures follow the rollout of Gemini 3, the company’s most sophisticated model to date. Google says the latest version delivers richer and more nuanced responses, marking a significant step forward in the capabilities of its AI systems.
Google CEO Sundar Pichai noted that the debut of Gemini 3 within AI mode has been a meaningful contributor to the platform’s recent growth. He added that ongoing investment and rapid iteration will be key to sustaining this upward trajectory.
Google has also introduced a lower-priced subscription tier called Google AI Plus, costing $7.99 per month. The offering is designed to attract more price-sensitive users and support continued adoption, though it launched too recently to be reflected in the latest quarterly results.
